The solutions range from enterprise management software to the MegaRAC CM1000 chassis management controller. Building on the foundation of its remote management experience in MegaRAC service processors and IPMI health monitoring and alert system software, AMI’s new solutions are claimed to give original equipment manufacturers the highest degree of flexibility and customisation for full-scale server blade management.
AMI says that its server blades solutions will benefit the datacentre with remarkable space savings, power savings, flexibility and scalability that allow administrators to grow their investment in equipment accordingly with their business needs. It maintains that its Chassis Management Controller with active-passive failover provides sophisticated manageability to server blade chassis.
MegaRAC M1000 is responsible for monitoring and managing through a web-based user interface all the necessary components inside a blade server. This includes processor blades and compute blades; in addition, the CMC deploys a chassis-wide intelligent power management scheme.
