HP debuts 10 inch netbook

HP has introduced the Mini 5101, the company's latest netbook, which now sports a 10.1 inch screen.

The Mini 5101, which weighs 1.2kg, uses a durable all-metal case, with a magnesium base, which HP said will protect it from the rigours of work on the go.

The keyboard is 95% full-size keyboard includes a touchpad. There is built-in Wi-Fi and users can buy a mobile dongle from HP, for 3G data access. The HP Mini 51501 includes the USB ports and an SD memory card slot. It can can be configured with 1GB memory, a 160 or 320GB SATA drive or 120GB solid state disk drive.


NetBooks are becoming increasingly popular among business users, as lightweight alternatives to laptop PCs. Some experts believe that, as smart phones become more powerful, such users may opt for a smart phone device over a netbook.
