BThas commenced a roll-out of an e-learning platform across the group using the RapidE-learningsoftware platform from Atlantic Link.

BT is inviting external e-learning suppliers to use the software when writing e-learning programs for the company.

BT is using the platform to improve and speed the development of new e-learning content and ensure all content meets W3C-AA accessibility standards for disabled people.

The system's server-based architecture offers collaborative authoring, centralised content management, and an integrated content management system.

The collaborative authoring system has features designed to simplify and accelerate the authoring process, including authoring wizards, Flash-based templates, and a PowerPoint importer.
