Forget Higgs Boson - IT could help England's football team win

Downtime was interested to see how technology can change history these days. Those clever IT bods at UEFA are using digital technology and super-fast networking kit to edit apparently live matches.

There has been uproar this week in Germany when a fan was pictured crying after Italy scored. But she actually cried during the German national anthem. UEFA had put the clip of the crying after the goal.

Both equally sad reasons to cry if you ask us here at Downtime but it does raise a few questions and hope for England’s delusional fans. All the action from the far superior opposition to England could be cut out and replaced with shots of the opposition fans crying.

Forget the Higgs Boson, time travel and all that clever stuff. We can change history through broadband and computers.
