All-female services centre opens in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Aramco, GE and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have announced the first all-female services centre for business processes in Saudi Arabia.

Based in Riyadh the move has created new jobs in finance and accounting, HR, IT and supply chain management services and will be staff completely by Saudi females. TCS and GE own 76% and 24% equity will initially serve Saudi Aramco and GE clients.

 The three partners plan to create 3,000 jobs for Saudi females with 1,000 created by GE.

Khalid A. Al Falih, president and CEO of Saudi Aramco said: “We are helping to build the nation’s capacity as it moves towards a knowledge economy by maximising local content, adding value through integrated industrial parks, and promoting economic diversification and entrepreneurship.

“In light of the demographic realities, this comprehensive framework offers a winning formula to create jobs.”
