A couple of responses received to the 10:10 Climate Change film posted earlier have demonstrated that there are some strong reactions, for which 10:10 has already issued an apology on its website.
I agree that the movie is graphically controversial, and its approach to children in a school class takes a lot of understanding in terms of decency and not least the message it sends out to those who may be less than environmentally committed, including those in the workplace.
Whether it has actually done the 10:10 campaign any harm, certainly in relation to long-term business support for the idea of cutting carbon by 10%, time will tell. The message on the 10:10 site appears to be one of, ‘We’re sorry for the offence caused – and we’re moving on.’
And to be honest, that’s probably a good idea.
