Bottled "ghosts" sold for £1,300 online

Proving that the online marketplace is fertile ground for anyone with an imagination, a New Zealander has sold two bottled “ghosts” for more than £1,300 in an auction.

The seller, Avie Woodbury of Christchurch, claimed she captured the ghosts in her house during an exorcism to rid the property of spooky behaviour.

Woodbury said the spirits are of an old man who lived in the house during the 1920s, and a powerful, disruptive little girl.

The auction attracted more than 214,000 page views from interested buyers, including the winning bidder, who has not been identified.

Well, they say there is one born every minute and it seems some of them are now to be found hanging about online auction websites.

It's Hyrule economics brought to life! Can anyone remember the going rate for a bottled Poe in the Ocarina of Time? : )
