The software, called NetWorker PowerSnap, will let NetWorker users automate the recovery of snapshots created by products such as EMC's Clariion, IBM's FastT, and Sun Microsystems' StorEdge Availability Suite.
Pricing for PowerSnap will start at $2,495 for storage arrays with 500Gbytes of storage, and the software will be available by the end of this month.
Legato will also announce its NetWorker 7.1 software today, which will support Microsoft's Windows Server 2003 as well as the enterprise editions of Red Hat and SuSE versions of Linux.
IBM's sales force will start to sell Legato's EmailXtender, EmailXaminer, and DiskXtender e-mail management products to its Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange customers.
