Micro-P has today confirmed it will be joining Cisco's distribution line-up to sell its SMB product lines, as revealed last Friday

The distributor said its appointment would reinforce its recent move into the comms and mobility sector.

"Cisco is at the forefront of the convergence of voice and data and is a vendor we have been keen to add for some time to expand Micro-P's converged technology portfolio," said managing director Gerry O'Keefe.

The distributor, one of the largest subsidiaries of DCC, already has a working relationship with Cisco through its Irish Sharptext business.

Cisco UK and Ireland head of small business and distribution, Gordon Mackintosh, said the appointment would bolster its growth in target markets.

"We're delighted to welcome Micro-P to our portfolio. I'm confident that over the coming months we will help drive both our businesses forward," he said.
