Women look for flexible careers

A quick post to point you in the direction of an article written by Ian Grant: What IT women want is more flexible career paths, well worth a read.

  • As always, it was a pleasure to interview two smart, articulate people who know their subject.

    I confess to astonishment that the issues women face in the IT workplace have not been sorted a long time ago.

    Why is it still that, for most practical purposes, firms ask women to choose between having children and having careers?

    But then, women may not be their own best friends in this matter. I asked Devin and Creed if the Connecting for Women in IT conference would have welcomed breast-feeding women. "That's a good question," they said.

    Guys, if this is for real, you know the right answer.
