European IT professionals more optimistic on IT spending

IT professionals are more optimistic about their IT budgets this year with nearly 46% of UK IT professionals expecting their budgets to rise. The picture is only slightly less optimistic in continental Europe, where 40% of IT professionals in Belgium and Luxembourg, 38% in the Nordic countries, and 37% in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (the "Dach" countries) expect their budgets to increase. The biggest rises, however are in Eastern Europe, reflecting the fact that many businesses are starting from a lower technology base.
