Yes this is a carpet tile. Amadeus uses carpet rather than vinyl flooring because it reduces the amount of dust in the air. The company says the way the carpet is installed means there is no risk of static electricity damaging sensitive datacentre equipment.

This particular carpet tile has a brush, to cover the opening required for routing cables from the floor below to the datacentre hardware. The brush reduces the amount of air lost by the hole for the cables, and it helps to improve cooling, which is quite remarkable for something that has cost very little money.
