LG is launching an assault on the hospitality market to encourage resellers to start selling into the hotel arena.
Fuelled by the requirement for hotels to upgrade TV screens for the digital switchover as well as the pressure for them to improve their image the vendor is working with its premier partners to increase its sales in the hospitality market.

Oliver East, iTV manager for UK and Ireland at LG, said that it had not really targeted hotels before but there were flat screens in rooms as well as digital signage opportunities for resellers.
"A lot of hotels think they can save money by going direct to the manufacturers but we are trying to tell them about the benefits of getting a solution from a partner," he said.
"Lots of smaller hotels haven't realised that you lose services if you haven't upgraded for the digital switchover," he added.
He said that its resellers understood the technology and the opportunity and were unlikely to require a great deal of hand-holding to make the sale.
