“And all they do is gently move those around depending on the nature of the story,” he said.
Pavitt keeps a collage of the negative headlines about HMRC IT on the wall of his office and at home, to help him keep his feet on the ground. “Every day I when I feel I am being successful, I remind myself we still have a journey,” he said.
