Firewall-on-a-card to hit channel

Specialist manufacturer of Internet and Intranet security and throughput solutions, Canada's Galea Secured Networks, is to ship its range through trade-only disti, Tekdata Network Solutions.

It claims to offer the world's fastest firewall with VPN and SSL acceleration on a single internal PCI card, which also provides protection against internal and external security breaches.

Chan Bansal, product development manager, said: "These solutions break new ground in the IP security arena and allows VARs to tackle the enterprise market."

The range of solutions have been designed for ISP's, ASP's, multinationals, large enterprises and e-commerce companies who have high or rapidly increasing throughput Web traffic.

Replacing the network interface card the solutions give server protection as a secondary defence.
