Video: Opera 10 web browser speeds slow surfing

Ian Grant

The free Opera 10 web browser was released this morning for Windows, Mac and Linux computers, offering a compressed "turbo" mode to boost web surfing speeds over slow internet connections.

There is also a built-in e-mail client, page loads that are up to 40% faster, automatic updates, spell checking, support for 43 languages and home page personalisation features.

An update to Opera Dragonfly, Opera's on-board web-development tools allows developers to edit the DOM and inspect HTTP headers. Dragonfly scored 100% on the ACID3 standards-compliance test, and also supports CSS3 Webfonts.
