Channel roundup: Who's gone where?

Christmas is looming but there is still time to start a fresh job and there are still people making fresh starts across the channel

There is just about time for those making moves this week to get included in Secret Santa activities at their new employers. There have been a few people this week getting the chance to show off their Christmas jumpers to a fresh bunch of colleagues.

Westcon
The distributor has deepened its commitment to Polycom appointing Rob Glaysher as a dedicated business manager for the vendor. He will come on board with a remit to growth the vendor's business with partners. “Rob joins at a very exciting time for the UC and collaboration business. Collaboration is increasingly part of daily working culture and with Polycom occupying a position at the heart of the collaboration market we are delighted that Rob’s experience and knowledge will directly help partners exploit the growth potential," said Dawn Fenton, UC commercial director at Westcon.

Cohesity
The storage player has hired industry veteran Klaus Seidl as vp sales for EMEA as it looks for more growth across the region. Seidl has a CV that includes spells at Riverbed Technology, NetApp and recently SimpliVity. Cohesity is preparing for worldwide expansion by adding executive talent with a proven record of success, including the recently announced appointments of Rob Salmon as president and COO, and Carl Eschenbach to the Board of Directors.

Skybox Security
The cyber security player has handed Uri Levy the chance to make a mark as vice president of worldwide channels. He is one of the founding management team at the firm and is looking for channel growth in 2018. Part of his plans include launching a new MSSP and SI programme and expanding technical support. "Uri has been instrumental in helping Skybox to grow into the company it is today by developing business in key vertical solution areas,” said Gidi Cohen, CEO of Skybox Security. “He’s the ideal choice to lead our global channel expansion, as he intimately understands the needs of our partners and how to best enable them to successfully resell our solutions.”

Wire
The firm recently launched a business platform and has followed that with an expansion of its senior leadership team. Former Huddle CEO Morten Brøgger joins as CEO and his former COO Rasmus Holst comes on board as CRO. Current CEO and co-founder, Alan Duric, will join Wire’s Board of Directors and resume his role as COO/CTO.
