Cloud Distribution has created a datacentre infrastructure team to expand the market areas it covers ensuring it is well placed to serve one of the main sources of industry growth.

The channel player has already established itself as a security, networking and storage specialist and is now adding more depth to that with the datacentre addition.
To give some weight to its ambitions in the data centre space the distributor has made a double signing bringing Actifio and Accelstor on board.
"We are really proud to have made this step towards creating our own center of excellence, as it facilitates additional growth opportunities for both our reseller and vendor partners. The new DCI team complements the existing Cyber Security Solutions and Networking Solutions teams” said Bruce Hockin, director of DCI solutions at Cloud Distribution.
He added that more resellers were looking at the data centre as an area where they could add value for customers.
"Data centre should be the biggest growth area for Cloud Distribution over the next 12 months. We are seeing a tremendous amount of energy in the data centre space," he said.
The response from the vendors to the chance to work with a fresh distributor was also positive.

Cloud Distribution set up its storage division three years ago and has been keen to establish itself as a forward thinking distributor that identifies and develops vendors that can work with the channel.
Hockin also started the storage division so has experience starting in a fresh market segment.
