Veeam is getting ready to launch a programme in the UK that will see it give away $200m in backup and disaster recovery as a service

There is nothing like a free giveaway to get customers feeling good about software and Veeam's resellers have been given the chance to become the best friend of their users.

The virtualisation backup and restore specialist is giving away $200m of cloud backup and DRaaS services through a channel FREE Cloud Services programme.

Each customer that uses a reseller is now eligble for up to $1,000 in free cloud back up and disaster recovery as a services and should tap into demand that the vendor has already identified across its customer base.

Veeam expects the free services will benefit both customers looking for a chance to try the technology, as well as resellers that can then talk about additional products that could be deployed.

Those resellers that have been tentative in making a move towards the cloud should find the free programme gives them an opportunity to deepen their experience with hosted services.

“Organisations across the globe are increasingly adopting cloud platforms for IT and business solutions, and they need an Availability platform that is scalable, reliable, secure and adaptable enough to leverage multi-cloud infrastructures,” said Paul Mattes, vp of Veeam’s Global Cloud Group.

“We, along with our partners, recognise this opportunity and are fully committing to major investments supporting our partners and end-users, and further delivering on our cloud vision and strategy," he added.

The limited timed offer is initially kicking off in the US but is expanding to EMEA in the next few months.
