Azzurri Communications has appointed former SSE Telecoms managing director Chris Jagusz as its new CEO. The move follows several years of declining revenues and Jagusz is set to be charged with addressing this by driving growth.

Jagusz has extensive experience in the industry including senior roles at BT Wholesale and Openreach, as well as a spell as chief executive of private equity backed mid-market provider Eurotel. More recently, he has held roles with Daisy Group and Six Degrees,
Azzurri revenue has dipped from a high point of £140 million in 2010 to £111m for the year-ending 30 June 2013.
