Norman Richardson joins the vendor after concluding a 23 year stint at HP, where he was recently the firm's UK vice president and general manager of Imaging and Printing, taking up the position as Xerox's director and general manager, channels group UK.
Richardson joins the printer specialist at a time when it is looking to help partners expand market opportunities, increase the provision of managed print services and is trying to make life simpler for resellers with quicker price comparisons tools and help building proposals.
Richardson said that the Xerox brand was strong, it had a "fantastic channel" and he was looking forward to working with partners to widen the customer base and has already met with a large number of partners at an event the vendor held this week.
Toni Clayton-Hine, vice president, global marketing and value proposition, Xerox channel partner operations, said that Richardson was very knowledgeable about the channel and the printing market and already had a history with partners that had been selling enterprise printing solutions.
