With a forecast market value of nearly $2.9bn – according to Gartner – Cloud Distribution believes ADC components will become an increasingly important part of enterprise networking infrastructures.
It picked on A10, it said, after noting recent record growth in the UK – the vendor also doubled its sales and marketing investments in EMEA and in December 2013 launched a standalone DDoS offering to complement features already available in its ADCs.
Cloud Distribution director Adam Davison said that with Cisco discontinuing its own product in the market and a number of enterprise customers needed to refresh aging estates from the likes of F5, there was a gap in the market for the channel to slip into.
“As 2014 kicks off, two of the main issues for this growing ADC market are security and virtualisation – and A10’s offering supersedes anything that is available on the market today,” he explained.
“The recent addition of A10’s dedicated DDoS offering is an added bonus for our partners because it broadens the market opportunity with an enlarged portfolio of products.”
The distie plans to create a dedicated group of resellers to help push the products into the market, and has also hired a dedicated A10 sales specialist to assist in demand generation and sales support.
A10 claims to differentiate itself from its competitors by virtue of offering its entire feature set at a single, all-inclusive price point, and without per-feature licensing fees.
