Westcon Convergence has named BT, Cisco and Polycom veteran John Richardson as its new UK and Ireland marketing director.
Reporting into UK and Ireland GM Ioan MacRae, Richardson will be briefed to drive the distie’s marketing plan across both theatres.
MacRae hailed Richardson’s two decades plus experience in the networking sector, saying: “His experience and expertise in the industry will be a great asset to the team helping to drive the Westcon brand forward to demonstrate our value add to vendors and resellers, and how we can improve their business.”

Richardson added: “Distribution is becoming a more prevalent route to market in the channel with the increase of complex multi-vendor UC solutions and vendors that have less resource available to manage resellers.
