K3 Business Technology has revealed its current CFO, David Bolton, will be taking over the chief exec role with immediate effect following the departure of its long-serving chief executive, Andy Makeham.
Both Bolton and Makeham had been with the ERP and supply chain services consultancy for well over a decade, and oversaw the firm’s expansion into a prominent player in the space.
Late last year the MS Dynamics and Sage specialist launched a hosting division to expand its offering around cloud-based IT infrastructure-as-a-service, disaster recovery and project management.
In a recent trading update the group said its first half figures had come in in-line with expectations, driven by a strong performance at its Microsoft business and the launch of a new Dynamics solution, as | is fashion which, it claimed, is already winning a number of orders.
Makeham commented: “I am immensely proud of the growth of K3 from relatively small beginnings. It is now established as a major provider of market-leading ERP solutions to the retail, manufacturing and distribution sectors.
“As reported in the recent trading update, K3 is on course to a return to revenue and profits growth, driven by the launch of a major new Microsoft Dynamics solution, and I wish the company every future success.”
K3 chairman Tony Milne added: “Andy leaves with our very best wishes and we would like to thank him for his significant contribution to K3 over nearly 14 years.”
K3 said Makeham had taken the decision to exit the group to pursue other business interests.
