Bracknell-based Eqalis specialises in helping customers view the data activities across a users estate giving it the change to highlight areas of security and operational risk.
The firm is one of data analytics vendor Splunk's largest UK partners and it also has accreditations with application and performance management players Prelert, Puppet Labs and App Dynamics.
Gavin Lyons, CEO of Accumuli, said that providing threat protection and identifying the impact of breaches meant having the tools to analyse large amounts of day to scan across the entire data network.
“This level of intelligence and visibility enables companies to prioritise actions, respond to incidents, improve processes and enhance controls," he added “Big data monitoring and analytics is now intrinsically linked with security and operational excellence."
Lyons said that the acquisition was part of a strategy of buying expertise that would complement its existing operations and followed in the wake of last summers purchase of SIEM consultancy EdgeSeven.
Eqalis employs seven staff and everyone is coming over to Accumuli under the terms of the deal, including company founders Ian Tinney, Kevin Tunsley and commercial director Andrew Walley.
