The K3 hosting operation will be headed by Neil Farnworth who will work with director Ed Renwick and a team of 70 staff that will be selling IaaS globally using its access to 300 data centres.
Along with IaaS the new company is also going to provide SaaS and hardware and networking as a service as well as a hosted disaster recovery service and project management facilities.
The firm has been set up against a background of increasing demand for enterprise cloud solutions that can provide storage options as customers continue to generate more data.
“For many organisations, maintaining an IT infrastructure can be a difficult task that takes resources away from its main focus – that’s why cloud based services are in demand and we have seen interest in our own cloud provision increase significantly over the past few years," said Renwick.
"That’s why we are launching K3 Hosting and our own IaaS offering, so we can support business critical systems and help companies save money and enhance productivity, taking the hassle of IT infrastructure away," he added.
