Micro-P said Cohort was characterised by a ‘unique’ approach to both distribution and channel development, which has seen it build up an extensive proposition including telesales, training, maintenance, consultancy and even managed services.
Cohort MD Grahame Smee, who set up the business in 2007, said that Micro-P’s reach and financial backing, coupled with Cohort’s established technical knowledge and commercial agility, offered a “huge opportunity” for reseller partners and vendors alike.
Micro-P UK MD Paul Bryan characterised the acquisition as the next logical step in the development of its b2b proposition.
