comparetheware.com unveils business portal

IT product comparison site comparetheware.com has taken the wraps off a business portal designed to arm customers with information on products, vendors and resellers

IT product comparison site comparetheware.com has launched a search portal that will give business users the chance to search through products, vendors and reseller partners.

The comparison site has been bubbling away for the last 18 months taking the business from concept to reality and armed with the portal can now provide information on one million products, 1,300 manufacturers and can furnish customers with the chance to get the credentials on 125 accredited resellers across the UK.

As well as providing information on products the comparison site is designed to give technical and non-expert customers a chance to locate resellers, system integrators and service providers.

Quoting its own research the web site claimed that 63% of SMEs used the web to find product information and to identify possible suppliers and that in the case of smaller firms many of the purchasing decisions were made by company directors and owners, who were one of the target audiences for a service that did not require detailed IT knowledge.

“Businesses have an incredible range of IT services and technologies available to them to grow and develop their organisations. With so many choices it can be hard to keep pace with new developments, know what solutions to select or where to find specialist knowledge,” said Mike Worby, co-founder of compareware.com.

“With comparetheware.com, we set out to make it easy for businesses to see what is available, find the solutions that best fit their needs and source the expertise they need to make the right choices. By having this resource at their fingertips businesses can move forward with their IT decisions in faster time," he added.
