Daisy buys channel services outfit NetCrowd

Daisy Group has bought white-label channel services provider NetCrowd in its first acquisition in almost a year

Daisy Group has bought white-label channel services provider NetCrowd in its first acquisition in almost a year.

Three-year old IP data specialist NetCrowd provides professional services, maintenance and installations to the reseller community, working alongside vendors such as Cisco, HP, Juniper and Microsoft.

Daisy said the acquisition would raise its profile in the IP and data market, enhancing its services offering and positioning it for future evolution, according to CEO Matthew Riley.

“This acquisition will drive significant cross-selling opportunities within our enlarged base while also providing NetCrowd’s customers with direct access to the Group’s full portfolio of products and services,” said Riley.

NetCrowd’s existing team is set to be transferred into Daisy’s Wholesale unit, including sales director Steve Kirby and MD Trevor Rolls, who once sold an IP telephony firm called Prime Business Solutions to 2e2.

Although the concrete financial terms of the acquisition were undisclosed, Daisy said it was able to fund the purchase through its existing borrowing facilities.
