Customer interest and demand for managed print services(MPS) is increasing, laying the foundations for a strong year ahead for those resellers providing that option for users.

The concept has been around for several years but has been a slow burner as both customers and resellers took time to embrace and sell the option, although with the recession still applying pressure to budgets users have become more aware of the need to control, and where possible, cut costs.
Steve Torbe, head of business sales at Epson, said that there was growing interest from customers in the managed approach and it was also supporting resellers looking to increase their activity in that area.
"It is growing in the UK and we are seeing more business interest and customers who are starting to use it," he said.
He added that the market was continuing to evolve and it was incumbent on vendors to keep partners informed of the way customer demands were changing.
