Intact Integrated Services (IIS) will report directly to Datatec after being spun out of the Logicalis Group to eradicate reseller and integrator customer concerns of potential channel conflict with its parent.

Under the re-org, ISS which was set up as a subsidiary of Logicalis will sit alongside high-end consultancy Analysis Mason in ultimate parent group Datatec's Consulting Services division.
Bob Dalton, managing director at Intact, said it needed complete independence from Logicalis as its previous closeness may have inhibited growth.
"Increasingly we have engaged with customers that saw a potential for channel conflict due to our structure, it was a perception because no-one has lost business to Logicalis," he told Microscope.
"We can be more pure play in our forward planning and investments can fit to the exact requirements of Intact rather than being potentially compromised within a group whose interests were more diverse," Dalton added.
As part of the deal, Dalton along with some of the other directors has taken a minority shareholding in the business.
IIS provides a range of services for VARs and integrators - 85% of which pertain to Cisco infrastructures.
