Ingram Micro has today opened up extra credit lines for SMB dealers across EMEA by moving a 'significant' proportion of its SMB customers from pre-payment arrangements to credit lines.

According to Ingram the initiative will alleviate some of the stress currently being seen among SMB resellers by improving access to more stable means of financing their deals.
"In Europe [SMBs] represent 1/3 of the total IT distribution market," said Ingram European senior manager SMB channel and marketing Johannes Kamleitner.
"Country by country we are now screening our pre-payment customers; if our analysis confirms they meet our criteria then we move them away from pre-payment and make credit lines available to them," he added.
