Astaro has revealed plans to work with Arc Technology with the aim of increasing the support available to help resellers sell security into the SME market.

The relationship has come about because of the identification by Astaro of the small business market as one prime to take up well priced security products.
"We have to be more structured in the way we approach our marketing activity and developing new partners and it helps get the quality up," said Andrew Fourie, UK country manager at Astaro.
One of the key planks of the campaign is to promote appliances that are easier to manage than various point products and as resources dipped there was greater SME interest in managed services.
"We haven't seen a drop-off in interest but we are having to help resellers be creative with budgets and licensing because customers often don't have the cap-ex budget to invest," he said.
In a statement, Stuart Reay, managing director of Arc Technology, said that it helped to outline how resellers could make a difference to customers.
