Bramwell hired to spearhead Ingram mobile push

Matt Bramwell has been taken on by Ingram Micro to run its mobile business with a brief to expand and grow market share

Ingram Micro has appointed a mobile head to drive that side of the business as it looks to expand and gain market share.

Smartphones and mobilityMatt Bramwell, who joins from Data Select, will take up the task as the distributor's first head of category for mobile of driving revenues from that part of the business.

He has 15 years worth of experience including spells at mobile handset distributors and will be using that knowledge to deliver the numbers for Ingram.

Mike Farrah, Ingram Micro commercial director, said that the role had been created to get someone on board to fast track development and get the sales going.

Bramwell said that he felt he was joining the business at a good moment and had the experience needed to get results.

"There are some aggressive expansion plans happening right now and I am actively recruiting for various roles in order to establish a new team around me," he said.
