Telecommunications solutions provider Chess, which announced a flurry of acquisitions earlier this year, has completed its purchases of Essex based Cable Telecommunications Limited and the maintenance arm of Pink Telecom.

Chess has been busy buying up firms in a bid to extend its network of telecommunications coverage as well as backing that up with a greater depth of networking services support.
Already this year it has snapped up Supply Communications, Rely Telecom and Deep Blue Networks.

Peter Southgate, director at Cable Telecommunications, said that Chess has a well-founded reputation in the acquisition space and tje tie-up would be a good move for the firm.
The acquisitions will add approximately £2.4 million of annual turnover and more than 1,000 customers to Chess.
