The big data product HANA also fared well as did the mobile offerings from the vendor with revenue rising by 18% to €3,898m compared to the same three months ended 30 June a year before. Post tax profits also climbed by 12% to €661m.
In a statement from co-CEOs Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe the resulted were described as being down to its innovation strategy and providing customers with value.
As well as the cloud growing software and related services revenue increased by 21% to €3,124m.
