Westcon Convergence has signed a new distribution agreement with endpoint device specialist snom to supply its IP and Lync optimised SIP-based phones across EMEA.
By submitting your personal information, you agree that TechTarget and its partners may contact you regarding relevant content, products and special offers.
Under the terms of the deal it will take on snom’s 300, 370 and 821 Microsoft Lync qualified UC series handsets.
The agreement builds on Westcon’s recently announced collaboration with Microsoft over its Lync Hardware Catalogue. The distie aims to make Lync business “easier and more profitable” for its partners, according to European director of product management and product marketing, Guy Koster.
“The snom portfolio expands functionality beyond voice by adding support for the productivity features included in Microsoft Lync 2010,” said Koster.
Rudi Stahl, vice president of EMEA sales at snom, talked up gross profit margin opportunities for the channel.
“This … is a great opportunity for partners to dramatically increase profits while meeting end customer expectations of improved collaboration and productivity associated with deployment of UC solutions,” said Stahl.
