ComputerLinks continues to expand beyond its traditional security business bolstering its other lines with the signing of networked storage specialist Infortrend.

The move has been made by the distributor to bolster its security, networking and virtualisation portfolio as it looks to build the next generation data centre proposition.

Computerlinks has been steadily building its portfolio to provide resellers with a spread of options under the umbrella of its next generation data centre channel proposition.

"With today's data centre managers demanding high availability and user-friendly management tools to simplify administration, it's vital that the channel has access to the latest and leading technologies," said David Ellis, director of new technology and services at ComputerLinks.

"This agreement will help our resellers develop their businesses around the increasingly complex needs of IT departments and data centres. It's a great partnership for all concerned," he added.

Rick Dudson, director of sales at Infortrend Europe said that it would gain access to even more resellers by signing up with the distributor.
