The MSP is currently ramping up its effort to acquire more firms through its subsidiary, BuymyIT.biz, and claims to have seen a substantial rise in owner-managers putting up the for sale signs.
Former BT Lynx boss Paul Edgley, who came on board in 2009 to shake up TIG's M&A practice, said there was "definitely a shakeup happening in the managed services industry".
"Providers that rode out the worst of the recession are now seeing opportunities to sell at a suitable profit [and] with advances in networking technology and fledgling delivery models such as cloud, it makes sense to amalgamate expertise and create greater value from managed services," said Edgley.
Edgley is on the look-out for firms with a similar strategy to TIG's own, and is particularly interested in mid-market, London-based MSPs.
