C2000 enterprise wingman Azlan has today announced the formation of a services team designed to help resellers target more services-based annuity revenues.

Headed up by IBM and Services Business Unit director Kevin Markwick, who clambered aboard the Azlan ship in December, the five-strong unit will offer business development support around software support, hardware maintenance and training, as well as a range of value-added services.
The distie has also hooked up with services outfit ITEC to offer VARs configuration, installation and project management options.
Markwick explained: "While we have enocuraged resellers to build particular vendor servies we knew that we needed to put more concentrated and sustained effort on the wider opportunity.
"We see this as a major opportunity and one that will be increasingly important in the future as business models shift further towards annuity-based revenue streams and away from reliance on product sales," he added.
