Data security specialist Acronis has signed up Computer 2000 to increase the number of resellers it is able to reach in the UK.
The vendor already works with C2000 parent Tech Data across four other countries in EMEA and backs up the ambition it announced at the start of the year to recruit more partners.
Davind Blackman, general manager at Acronis, highlighted the reseller reach that C2000 could offer: "The scale of its marketing and sales operations, the scope of its reseller network and its focus on the SMB this year, will be hugely beneficial to Acronis."
"This relationship underlines the next stage in our UK development and the consolidation of our distribution strategy," he added.
From the distributor's point of view the relationship bolsters its backup and disaster recovery options it can pass on to resellers, particularly those selling into the SME sector.
"This year we are really focused on the opportunities which virtualisation and the cloud present. Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Virtual Edition and vmProtect 7 provide easy to use backup and recovery for virtual environments where we are seeing a lot of success. In addition," said James Reed, Software General Manager at Computer 2000.
