AppAssure provides coverage for virtual, physical and cloud infrastructures and claims to be the fastest-growing backup software firm in the States. The Virginia-based firm will form a key part of Dell's 'Fluid Data' architecture proposition.
AppAssure says its software offers a unified and integrated backup and replication service that offers near-zero recovery time, 100% recoverability assurance, and cross-platform virtual and physical server recovery.
"[This] meets the challenges of protecting the explosive growth of data in both virtual and physical environments," said Dell Enterprise Solutions Group president, Brad Anderson.
"At a practical level, AppAssure enables Dell customers to seamlessly move and replicate data across our existing platforms, from an EqualLogic array in a remote office to a Compellent array at a data recovery site," he added.
