Rob Sirs, group managing director of education IT specialist RM has stepped down for personal reasons after just three months in the role.
Sirs stepped into the post in October after former boss Terry Sweeney handed in his resignation in the wake of an operational review.
A 21-year veteran at the firm, Sirs actually rejoined the group having already left as the company reeled from a round of cost-cutting and redundancies.

In a short statement today, RM said Sirs had decided it was "in the best interests of RM" for him to step down, and thanked him for his contribution to the firm.
It does not intend to appoint a replacement in the near future, handing control of the firm to executive chairman Martyn Ratcliffe, to whom its divisional managing directors will now report.
