Hewlett-Packard is expecting resellers will take advantage of its moves into the cloud by either signing up to deliver their own infrastructure services in conjunction with the vendor or by partnering with another dealer in the ecosystem.
The vendor has kicked off its Cloud Agile programme with 10 partners on board but is looking to expand that number over the course of this year.
Andrew Duce, HP service provider program manager at HP UK (pictured), said that the demand form customers for cloud services was growing and they wanted to work with trusted service providers.
He said that Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) was something the more partners were starting to specialise in and they could combine their expertise with HP products and through the programme get access to leads and further support.
"Customers are driving the market and every single customer of HP is buying some for of IT as a service," he said.
He added that there was going to be a requirement for more dealers to be able to sell and support a hybrid cloud environment as customers operated both private and public cloud applications.
