The Surrey-based distie has made much of gaping security holes in mobile technology and believes that this area of the industry offers potential for both business and margin expansion.
"The need for it [mobile security] is patently obvious from the ongoing press coverage of failures to secure mobile data, and from the penalties levied by the ICO," said Wick Hill chairman Ian Kilpatrick.
Imation's mobile security offerings include
IronKey's secure data storage hardware lines, and Imation's Defender and MXI security products. The portfolio includes encrypted flash drives, external HDDs and optical discs, as well as digital identity products and cloud-based device management software, among other things.
Kilpatrick said resellers would benefit from the strength of a worldwide firm which trades on price performance in a market that is still largely untapped.
