Former Azzurri CEO Gordon Matthew, who stepped down from the role in 2010, has popped up at UC and cloud services provider Intrinsic Technology as non-executive chairman.

Matthew will take responsibility for supporting the reseller's senior management team as the company targets further growth in the wake of its recent £30m MBO.

"[Gordon] has exceptional leadership experience in large, private equity-backed businesses in our sector, and as such as the perfect background to provide guidance to the senior team and myself," said Intrinsic CEO Mike Mason.

"Intrinsic is an ambitious company and it's great to have Gordon on board to help us realise the goals and potential we are capable of," he added.

Prior to his two-year stint at Azzurri, channel veteran Matthew worked with Comtec and Ramesys, among others.
