Back in June Huawei inked its first Europe-wide distribution deal with 20:20 Mobile to sell its embryonic mobility range, but is now getting serious about building up a channel for its Enterprise division.
The firm said it has plans for the new unit to match the success it has already seen in carrier, mobile and terminals.
Huawei UK CEO Victor Zhang said: "Simon's appointment is a statement for our ambition to become a serious player in the enterprise field."
Added Culmer: "I look forward to building and leading a team of industry and partner experts to ensure that Huawei rapidly becomes a significant contributor to the enterprise market.
"We will be delivering an unmatched and incredibly broad set of solutions, including routing and switching, IP telephony, call centre technology, video telephony,t elepresence, servers and storage, tablets and smartphones," he said.
