Azlan has plugged the management gap left in its enterprise division turning to former Bell man Colin McGregor who will take over after the summer.
The distributor has been on the hunt for a replacement for Ian French since March after the channel veteran left to return to running his channel consultancy.
McGregor joins with a brief to build on the work that French had down and build on relationships with existing vendors and get more out of its partner relationships.
McGregor said he was looking forward to "building on Azlan's portfolio of enterprise solutions" and would start on 1 September.
Since leaving Bell last summer, following Avnet's acquisition of Bell, he has been working with channel consultancy Demuto. Andy Gass, managing director of Computer 2000, said that the experience of McGregor, which includes a stint as director of enterprise EMEA at Bell Micro would stand him in good stead as he set out to grow the business.
