Computerlinks continues to expand beyond its traditional security roots adding the key product from disaster recovery specialist TADASoft to its line-up.

The addition of Restorepoint to the roster builds on the direction the Newmarket-based distributor has been heading in recently with more storage and business continuity products being added onto its product list, with most being offered as cloud options via its Alvea platform.

Restorepoint works by supporting 35 different networking and security devices from a host of household names including Cisco, Check Point, NetApp and Brocade with a web interface.

The distributor has witnessed greater demand from resellers for a decent disaster recovery solution as customers grapple with the needs of compliance and the demand to prove they have a DR plan in place.

"Business continuity is an extremely hot area for the channel. We are looking forward to working with Restorepoint as we believe it addresses many of the challenges that our partners are being asked to deal with," said Dave Ellis, director of new technology and services at ComputerLinks.
