SME-focused comms and network provider Easynet Connect will formally relaunch its channel next Monday, with its eye firmly on beefing up sales through its VAR community.

Easynet Connect, part of the Easynet group, which was bought from parent BSkyB by Lloyds Development Capital last year, and still maintains substantial network assets and is able to offer speeds of up to 100 Mbps in London and 60 Mbps elsewhere.
Newly-appointed UK boss Andy Horn said his primary focus was on promoting the potential strength of the firm's offering, and generating growth in sales of volume access products through resellers.
"This is what customers need if they're going to get into the cloud," he explained.
Former Colt SME head Horn is returning to the sector after spending a year variously organising a polar expedition and helping get a security start-up off the ground.
Speaking to MicroScope, Horn said: "Their [Easynet's] eye was off the ball on the channel to some extent; there are 600 partners and there's no way we've given enough love and attention to them. The bigger contracts tended to get a higher profile, but I'm a big fan of SME."
"We need to build up more local and sector understanding to re-energise this. I'm already shceduled to meet a whole lot of partners and see what's changed, what's missing, and what we can do differently," he added.
